A D T X K T X
11.05.15 SUN -11.05.31 TUE

Up-and-coming and nevertheless already mature in her distinctive style, Hayashi Kanae Takeshi has represented the most significant movements in post-kawaii aethetics in Japan. In pursuit of stronger image, HKT exploits solid lines and plain colors boldly into straightforward compositions in production of the world represented by a couple of super-cool gender symbols, SHY-G and LADY-BUG.

Shortly after modest exposure at group shows, HKT's pop-modern visual language came to enjoy enthusiastic attentions broadly in art, music, fashion or design fields. TANA presents her first solo exhibition "A D T X K T X" (adachikukoutouku [Adachi Ward Koto Ward]), in which HKT makes an experimentation on a system called SHY-G Layer(s), a multilayered spectacle with flat images in progression, exploring the domain between the painting and the installation.
