111127 | Shirley Cho THE SPINNING TOP 27 November (Sun) - 16 December (Fri) 2011 |
What happens when you ask your family and friends to draw their dream spinning top? In this collaborative body of work, friends and family of the artist drew their ideal spinning tops, sent on postcards from around the world, and these designs were magically spun into creation by the artist.
This project was conducted in 2010 and was first exhibited at Gaffa Gallery in Sydney, Australia (February 2011). TANA Gallery Bookshelf is pleased to introduce part of this project for the first time in Japan.
